Ms. Renata Varmall has been a great help to me in carrying out my duties in the Accounting Department at the Roy L. Schneider Hospital on St. Thomas. She has given me invaluable assistance in the following areas: Separating prior years expenses from current years expense, giving a clearer more accurate picture of expenses as they pertain to a particular year. Accounting for depreciation expenses by preparing a workable Depreciation schedule. Implemented accrual basis accounting at the hospital. Reconciling Bank Statements and GL accounts, emphasized the importance of maintaining supporting documentation for each transaction, and provided a basis for numerous reports for daily use to promote efficiency and effectiveness in the Department. Her group sessions although geared toward problem solving were enjoyable and informative. Because of her assistance, it was easier to prepare for annual audits. I must say that I was impressed with Ms. Varmall's knowledge base. It was a welcome change to be able to interact with someone who gave an on the spot accurate answer to accounting questions.
